Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern use of the websites and services (the “Services”) provided by ASL Ed Center, LLC (doing business as ASL Education Center) (“we,” “us,” or “our”), including asledcenter.com, auth.asledcenter.com, and our education products.

By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. The Services

We provide online ASL education, assessment, dictionary, authentication, and related tools. Features vary by product and by any agreement with your organization.

Our Auth Gateway at auth.asledcenter.com lets authorized users sign in and reach ASL Education Center applications. Links from asledcenter.com may send you there to sign in.

3. Accounts and sign-in

You agree to provide accurate information, protect your credentials, and notify us of unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account, except to the extent caused by our failure to use reasonable security measures.

If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

You may sign in with Google, Microsoft (including Microsoft Entra ID), email and password, or your organization’s identity provider, depending on the product and configuration. By using Google or Microsoft sign-in, you authorize us to receive the identity information described in our Privacy Policy. Access to specific products still depends on invitations, licenses, and permissions.

Institutional customers may have separate agreements with us that control access and data handling for their users.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Services, violate law, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with the Services, misrepresent your identity, upload harmful content, or compromise assessment security where applicable. Product-specific rules may also apply.

5. Intellectual property

The Services and our content are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a limited license to use the Services for their intended purpose. You retain rights to content you submit and grant us a license to host and display it as needed to operate the Services.

6. Third-party services

Sign-in and other integrations may involve third parties such as Google and Microsoft. Their terms and privacy policies also apply. We are not responsible for third-party services.

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICES OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) US $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits; in those cases liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for us, or as required by law or your organization’s arrangement with us. You may stop using the Services at any time.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Massachusetts have exclusive jurisdiction, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance, except where law requires otherwise.
